Tinubu Departs Abuja for 3-Week Vacation in Europe

By Emmanuel Onyedika

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will leave Abuja on Sunday for a three-week vacation in Europe, beginning with a stop in London, according to a statement by Presidential Spokesperson Bayo Onanuga.

The trip is part of the President’s annual leave, and he is expected to return to Nigeria to join the campaign activities ahead of the January 2027 elections.

Tinubu had previously taken his 2025 annual vacation in September, spending 10 days in the United Kingdom and France. His 2026 leave follows the conclusion of Vice-President Kashim Shettima’s two-week vacation, which ended on August 18.

The President’s latest vacation comes amid preparations for a busy political season, with his return expected to mark the start of intensified campaign engagements.
