Tinubu Orders Coordinated Operation to Rescue Niger Abduction Victims

By Emmanuel Onyedika

President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, Police, and intelligence agencies to immediately launch a coordinated operation to rescue victims of the recent mass abduction in Niger State.

In a statement issued by Presidential Spokesperson Bayo Onanuga on Tuesday in Abuja, Tinubu expressed outrage over the attack, describing it as “barbaric and unacceptable.”

“Those who carried out this cowardly attack on defenceless Nigerians are enemies of peace and humanity, who will not go scot-free,” he said.

The President extended condolences to families of those killed and assured affected families of the Federal Government’s commitment to securing the safe return of their loved ones.

Tinubu directed Service Chiefs to provide him with regular updates until all abducted persons are accounted for.

“You are not alone. The entire nation shares your anguish. We will not rest until your sons, daughters, mothers and fathers are brought back safely to you,” he added.

He stressed that terror would not cow Nigeria, pledging to defend citizens, protect communities, and uphold the sanctity of human life.

Tinubu also reaffirmed Federal Government support for the Niger State Government, promising reinforcement of security and relief measures.
