APC Will Deliver on 2027 Promises – Yari

Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Abdul’Aziz Yari, says the ruling party will deliver on every pledge it makes to Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Yari spoke on Sunday shortly after landing at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja. His arrival followed his appointment by President Bola Tinubu to head the APC’s campaign council for the next presidential poll.

Addressing reporters at the airport, the former Zamfara governor said the APC remains committed to fulfilling its obligations to citizens.

“I want to assure Nigerians that whatever promise we make during the campaign, we shall keep to our promises,” Yari said.

He also voiced strong optimism that President Tinubu would be re-elected in 2027, citing the President’s performance so far.

“Today, we have seen him as president and by God’s grace, he shall be the president come 2027,” he added.

Yari was received by a large turnout of APC supporters and party chieftains who gathered to welcome him and mark the start of his duties as DG of the campaign council.

Speaking to the crowd, he said the gathering was a show of solidarity for both him and the Tinubu administration.

“The crowd is here to pray for me and for the success of Mr. President. Our party is synonymous with keeping to our words,” he said.

The former governor called on Nigerians to pray for the President, asking God to give Tinubu the wisdom to steer the country. He further expressed confidence that the APC’s hold on power would extend beyond Tinubu’s tenure.

“We assure Nigerians that we shall fulfil all our campaign promises. We pray that our party will continue to be the party to lead the country after President Tinubu’s second term,” he said.

Yari’s appointment comes as the APC ramps up preparations for 2027, with President Tinubu widely expected to contest for a second term on the party’s platform.
